Mayo

Mayo is situated on the Traditional Territory of the Nacho Nyak Dun First Nation.

Mayo is a popular wilderness tourism destination that offers good swimming, fly-in fishing and boating, as well as hiking and big-game hunting in the surrounding wilderness.

The village is the main service area for all highway travellers driving up the Silver Trail. You'll find essentials like gas, laundromat, campgrounds, restaurants, a grocery store and a post office.

Mayo is also an access point to historic Keno City and Elsa mining camp, and backcountry wilderness trips into the Peel Watershed.
