What we do
The Yukon government operates a diverse fleet of vehicles to support program delivery. Fleet Vehicle Agency, within Highways and Public Works, manages and maintains these vehicles. Fleet service agents assist with inventory, vehicle bookings and ensure vehicles are ready for use. This includes a growing fleet of electric and hybrid vehicles. The role combines customer service and administrative tasks and may involve washing, fueling, charging, and parking vehicles. Your work will support all departments across the Government of Yukon.
Job description:
• Provide customer service in a high volume/high traffic environment;
• handle a range of administrative tasks, including data entry and account reconciliation;
• perform minor vehicle maintenance, such as replacing windshield wipers, headlight bulbs and checking fluids;
• schedule vehicle bookings and manage dispatch; and
• coordinate vehicle repairs and maintenance with mechanic shops.

Job requirements:
• Ability to perform minor automotive maintenance, such as replacing windshield wiper blades, headlight bulbs, changing tires and checking fluids;
• strong customer service skills;
• experience performing data entry;
• background in an automotive/heavy-duty repair shop would be an asset;
• experience in a variety of administrative tasks, including data entry and account reconciliation;
• front-line customer service skills in a high volume, fast-paced environment;
• familiarity with dispatching, preferably within government or a large organization is considered an asset; and
• basic vehicle maintenance experience is considered an asset.

The Corporate Services Division of Highways and Public Works plays a key role in providing essential services to the Yukon government and the department itself. We manage the acquisition, risk management, insurance, purchasing, asset management, printing, mail delivery, travel and fleet vehicle services for all Yukon government departments. Additionally, we offer policy, communications, and financial support to the Department of Highways and Public Works. Our team includes analysts, procurement specialists, purchasing officers, accountants and other skilled professionals.
